So once the refund had been agreed upon we started looking for our new vehicle.

We found a few on Car Sales ironically all of our favourites were at Maddington Toyota, where we got our RAV4 secondhand and it never skipped a beat, already we felt more comfortable.

The first visit we arrived close to closing hours and our favourite online vehicle was actually out getting some cosmetic repairs done (that in itself made me a little uneasy) so we put a deposit on one in the yard with the condition to test drive the next day and to add a tow bar.

That night our eldest ‘crazy monkey’ as you can see told us that our new car will have a hook on the front & not be white neither of those described the car we were looking at earlier in the day

The next day both Brett and I didn’t feel a % yes, when driving the one we had put a deposit down on, our sales assistant was so patient with us as we had expressed to him the experience we had just had with the ‘lemon’ we had refunded.

So we transferred the deposit to our original favourite again on the condition of a test drive, while Brett was at work he did some more research and found out that in 2018 the Prado’s ball weight increased from 250kg to 300kg, but not at the start of the year half way though.

So I called and asked them if another one was there, a 2019 one and I was told it was sold, both of us felt a wave of disappointment but it was out of our control.

The next day we seen the one we had been waiting on, checked the manuals and sure enough 250kg ball weight not 300kg.

We randomly asked again if the 2019 was still available as we could see it wasn’t sold on the Car Sales site.

It was available, we looked at it and we were all blown away, it is pearl silver, with a winch, tow bar, 300kg ball weight, really neat and tidy, past owner was TAS police.

That was it on the test drive the whole family felt that % YES YES YES

We picked her up yesterday, we are so very grateful now for the entire journey…

It all happened to lead us to the right car, one that will be reliable, that is safe, one that met all our expectations and more.

We haven’t got the best photo yet, as we were a bit excited
